THE CHAIN OF THE PYRENEES
The chain of the Pyrenees, a natural frontier between France and Spain lies down over 420 kms from east to west. The Pic du Midi is one of the symbols of the Pyrenees.But the highest mountain is the Pic d’Aneto (3404m). In the French Pyrenees, the Vignemale reaches 3298 m. |

Placide Massey, horticulturist and director of the Trianon park in Versailles in the 1900’s created this typic british park where numerous botanical species are found. |

STUD FARM OF TARBES
Situated in the center, it was built by Napoleon and it represents an harmonious and astonishing architectural place.
All the buildings seem to be out of the empire style with a sober and classical beauty.
The stud farm has about sixty stallions of the most widespread species in the region. |

THE TRAIN OF ARTOUSTE
A complete, easy and magical excursion in the wonderful mountainous landscapes (view on the Pic du Midi). A railway drives on the mountain side where you slide over the summits with the highest european train.

THE SPANISH BRIDGE

THE PIC DU MIDI
Since 1880 it has been used for the exploration of the universe. The Pic remains a high place of observation and research. At the top (2877m) the sight is imposing. A 360° panorama enables to observe the whole chain of the Pyrénées until the foot-hills of the Massif central. |

LA COLLINE AUX MARMOTTES

LE DONJON DES AIGLES
From the feudal castle of Beaucens you could see and take pictures of the most prestigious birds of prey from all over the world: vultures, falcons, eagles, owls, buzzards and exotic birds. |

LE LAC DE PAYOLLE
Most appreciated destination of the unhabitants of the region thanks to its easy access, to its view on the Pic du Midi, to its forests, its lake and thanks to the Valley of Campan from where you get there.
Payolle attracts in summer time as well as in winter time. You can even keep on walking to the famous Col d’Aspin if you feel like it.

LE CIRQUE DE GAVARNIE
The circus is wonderful, with its eternal waterfalls. The highest in Europe reaches 423 m and is part of the National Park. It is recognized worlwide by UNESCO in its heritage.

THE BARONNIES
Well located at the bottom of the chain of the Pyrénées, they are the Hautes Pyrénées with their wonderful forests and authentical villages.
